Steven Lee Strasburg
Our beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away on November 20, 2011 following a short but courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his children. Steven was born August 19, 1950 to Charles Evar and Hazel West Strasburg in American Fork, Utah. Steven was raised in Pleasant Grove where he was active in sports. After graduation he joined the army and proudly served 13 months in Vietnam. Upon returning home he met and married our mother Janie Lee Hunter. From this marriage he adopted her child Jayne Marie Coughlan, and together they had Christine Kay Goodwin and Steven Chad Strasburg. They later divorced.
Up until his illness he was employed by B & D Glass Company. Where he was a glass estimator.
He is survived by Marie Coughlan, Christine (Steven) Goodwin and Chad (Cherisa) Strasburg, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; siblings, Judy Hawkins, Joan Jeppson, Lynn Strasburg, Barbara Wilkinson, Tom Strasburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
The family would like to thank all of the many doctors who helped Steven through his illness. A special thanks to IHC hospice and Marshall Willis.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in Highland City Cemetery. Online memories and condolences may be shared at andersonmortuary.com
