Julia M. Shaw, 98 of Wilson Boro, PA, formerly of Shadow Lake Village, Red Bank, NJ, died Thursday, February 2, 2012, at New Eastwood Nursing & Rehab. Center in Wilson, PA. She was the wife of the late Ralph G. Shaw who died in Nov. 1988. Born in Bombay, India she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret (Little) Walton.

Julia was last employed as a Sales Clerk at the Kingston Bookstore in Harare, Zimbabwe for several years before moving to the United States. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nazareth, PA. Prior to the Bookstore, she worked for Air Rhodesia/Central African Airways as a Reservations Clerk, allowing for her to travel world wide. Before the Airlines she worked for the BBC as a Radio Technician during the 2nd World War in Droitwich, England. Her first vocation was working in a lingerie company as a Materials Cutter in London, England. She also had the privilege to have traveled from New York to London England on the Queen Elizabeth II and returned on the former Concord Super Jet.

She is survived by her two sons, Alexander J. G. Shaw & wf. Patricia of American Fork, Utah, and David G. Shaw & wf. Barbara of Nazareth, PA; and eight grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to either the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund or the Humanitarian Fund.

A Viewing will be held Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 10:00 am to 10:40 am followed by Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 am; both located at the American Fork 9th Ward, 673 East 300 North, American Fork. Interment in American Fork Cemetery.
