Larry John Chadaz
April 28, 1934 ~ June 26, 2012
On June 26th at 2:40 a.m., Larry John Chadaz passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 28th, 1934 to Frank and Ada Chadaz in Tremonton, UT. Larry graduated from Bear River High School and went to Weber College in Ogden, UT. He served his country with a stint in the military at the end of the Korean War. Larry married his sweetheart Vikky Kroksh July 18, 1960 their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his sons snowmobiling, camping, fishing, and golfing. They always had a lot of fun together. Larry worked for 35 yrs. at Thiokol, as an Engineer, he earned many awards while working there. Larry is an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He will be missed by his sweetheart of almost 52 years, Jarda Victoria (Vikky) Kroksh Chadaz of Elwood, UT and his 3 sons; Garth (Kathie) of Clinton, UT, Brent of Tremonton, UT, Marc (Sami) of Tremonton, UT. His grandchildren are: Chelsea (Randy) Chadaz Whaley of River Heights, UT; Cassie and Chase Chadaz, both of Clinton, Utah; Tyler and Jake Chadaz of Tremonton, Utah; Kayli (Casey) Chadaz Butler, of Los Angeles, CA; Tasha, Markale, and Hayden Chadaz, all of Tremonton, UT. His great grandchildren, who adored him are Brailee and Gage Butler, Jaxson Whaley, and Savannah and Kaylese Chadaz. Larry also leaves behind 3 brothers and a sister – Valene (Steven) Chadaz, Quinney and Vance (Wilma) both of North Ogden, UT; Steven (Susan) of Tremonton, UT; and Brian (Monica) of St. George, UT. Many nieces and nephews will also miss their uncle.
Larry was preceded in death by both parents, both parents in-laws, and a sweet grandson – Larry Joe Chadaz.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held with a viewing on Friday, June 29th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton, UT) The funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, June 30th at the Tremonton Utah South Stake Center (1150 S. Tremont Street, Tremonton, UT) There will be a viewing held at the church prior to the funeral from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.
