Margie Elaine (Buck) Postma

Margie Elaine Postma, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home in Bountiful. She was born on 8 June 1939 in Salt Lake City, the fifth of nine children, born to Harry Raymond Buck and Zenora Elaine Christensen. She was reared in South Salt Lake and attended schools in the Salt Lake City area public school system. She was employed as an equipment operator and truck driver in the Salt Lake area.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and resided in the Bountiful 1st Ward.
Margie was a good cook and especially enjoyed camping with her extended family in times of better health. Her recent death was the result of a valiant short-term battle with cancer. She was a very loving and compassionate person who was beloved and revered by her family. She was especially fond of her grandchildren who loved her immensely in return and will miss her dearly.
In 1958 she married Myron Mack Gillespie; they later divorced. She then married William J. Allen; they also divorced. In 1968 she married Gary L. Postma. He passed away in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings. She is survived by her three daughters: Kelly (John) Sutton of Nampa, Idaho, Julie Ann Gillespie and Nancy Postma of Bountiful. Her grandchildren are Rebecca, Ryan, Stan, Candice and Ireland.
She is also survived by the following siblings: Rayola Moriarty, Pauline (Ernest) Spirz, Nancy (Don) Skog, Lynn (Marsha) Buck, Dorene (Larry) College, and Maylene (Gary) Perkins.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 27, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment to follow services.
