James Martin Bankhead

On July 31st James Martin Bankhead (Jim) passed away after experiencing medical complications. He lived 58 years, and was born and raised in Tooele. He loved music, the outdoors, and western movies.

Jim was an Eagle scout and proud veteran of the Navy. he worked for Deseret Chemical Depot until he retired earlier this year.

He is survived by his children Joseph Bankhead, Abraham Bankhead, Jessica Timmerman, his long time girlfriend Gloria Green, father Lavar Bankhead, brothers David Bankhead, Jerry Bankhead, and sisters Donna Dodds, Connie Bankhead-Meyers, Karen Burns, and many members of his extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at Tate Mortuary on Monday August 6th. The viewing will be from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM; the funeral will begin at 1:00 PM followed by interment at the Tooele City Cemetery. Jim was preceded in death by his mother Geniel Lund Bankhead.
