Deborah Marie Haymes

March 4, 1950  ~  July 31, 2012

Deborah Marie Haymes (62), an Angel sent from God to the Haymes family, returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday July 31, 2012 in Ogden, Utah. Debby is now enjoying a grand reunion with family and friends who have been waiting for her on the other side.

Deborah was born March 4, 1950 in Torrance, California, a daughter of Thomas Andrew Haymes and Marva Brown. She was the sixth of their nine children.

Debby lived in Hawthorne California and attended Jefferson Elementary School. She moved with her family to Ogden, Utah in 1960 where she attended Ogden City Schools. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1968.

Debby was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She served a mission in the Georgia = South Carolina Mission. She served in many different positions in the Primary, scouting, Young Women's, Sunday School and Relief Society over the years, currently serving in the special needs mutual.

She had worked at McKay Dee Hospital and for Weber Human Services. She was the Food Service Supervisor and later the Nutrition Program Manager, currently retiring with 34 years of service. She was active in the state association of SCANS and the Utah Dietary Managers Association. She enjoyed serving on various community councils and committees.

Deborah enjoyed sewing, reading, swimming, and picnics. Her greatest joys were Doreen, Rocky, Christina and Jacob. Her happiness times were spent with her extended family and friends at family gatherings and vacations.

Deborah is survived by her children: Doreen Stone, Rocky Stone, Christina Stone and Jacob Crane. 3 brothers and 2 sisters: David (Mary) Haymes, Patrick (Felicia) Haymes, Dean (Judy) Haymes, Colleen Hawkins and Niora Varney. She is also survived by 34 beloved nieces and nephews plus several Great and Great-Great nephew and nieces, who all referred to her as their favorite Aunt, a title well deserved for she loved them all so very much.

Deborah was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father and her loving mother, and a beloved step father Eugene Clontz. Also her two brothers: James and Thomas Jr. and her sister Sandra (whom she thanks for allowing her to care for Doreen).

Funeral services will be held at Myers Ogden Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd., Saturday, Aug 4, 2012 at 11 AM. Viewings will be held on Friday, 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested donations be made to: Weber County Organization for the Elderly 1176 W 3300 S Ogden, Utah 84401.

Debby, we all love you. You will be missed. We will keep you in our hearts always until we meet again.
