Jerre M. Todd

Jerre M. Todd, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 in her home with loved ones at her side.

Jerre was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, to Frank and Ada Mortensen. She married Herman Fuit and they had three children, they later divorced. She later married Joseph Todd, they were together for 34 years during their marriage they enjoyed traveling. They enjoyed traveling by motorhome and traveled from Alaska to Mexico several times and spent many winters as 'snow birds', in the desert.

Jerre loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and exploring. She would fill her days taking care of her beautiful ponds filled with koi and turtles. She loved her dogs and was an avid animal activist; she adopted many animals into her home. People would bring her animals that were hurt or sick and she would nurse them back to health. She enjoyed reading her mystery novels.

She attended Ogden High School and worked in various jobs throughout her life.

She will be missed by all those who knew her. Surviving are her children: Kerry Fuit (Bonnie), Kenny Fuit (Dawn), Kristy Larkins (Howard). She also is survived by ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her brother(s) Richard Mortensen (Roy) and Donald Mortensen (Wyoming).

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband and her brother Keith Mortensen.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 04, 2012, at Myers Mortuary in Layton, Utah.
