Flo Crossley
BRIGHAM CITY - Our beloved mother, sister, "granny," and friend, Flo Crossley, passed away on Thursday, August 2. Flo will be deeply missed by her children, Larry and Karen Crossley, Sheryl and Andrew Ramsay, and Karen and John Stevenson; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 surviving sisters, Clara Roberts and Gay Carling. Her dear husband of 56 years, Ephriam "Dick" Crossley, preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her sister Gertrude Secrist and her five brothers: Harry, Ray, Jay, Wes, and Daryl Conger.
Flo was born in Tremonton, UT, on June 6, 1925, and enjoyed growing up on a farm with her parents and eight siblings. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1943 and married Ephriam Crossley on December 28, 1945. They raised their family in Brigham City, UT, where she lived for more than 70 years. She enjoyed a 17-year career at JC Penney in Brigham City, where she made life-long friends. Flo liked putting together jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and going to Wendover.
Flo always had a zeal for life and a great sense of humor, and she kept those around her laughing until her final days. Her family will be forever grateful for her unwavering support and love for each one of them during all of life's ups and downs. Flo lived her life with integrity and courage and will always be remembered for her generous heart. We will indeed miss her wit, her laughter, and her love.
Special thanks to Dr. Lynn Q. Beard, Rocky Mountain Rehab, Access hospice, and Beehive Homes of Perry for the loving care they provided her.
Family and friends can pay their respects at a memorial service on Wednesday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South in Brigham City. A viewing will be held at the same location on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
