Jason Isaac Miller

May 17, 1963  ~  August 2, 2012

Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend died on August 2, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Jason was born on May 17, 1963. He was raised in South Jordan, Utah where he attended Bingham High School and graduated in 1981. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church. Jason served a fulltime mission in Arcadia, California. He later served in the baptistery of the Jordan River Temple, a calling he dearly loved. He also was a dedicated home teacher, and loved doing temple work. He was a life-long paper boy for the Deseret News. He also worked as a hod tender for Anderson Masonry, and cleaned surgical rooms at the University Hospital before working as a custodian at the Joseph Smith Building.

Jason was an avid sports fan. He loved watching BYU football and basketball games and partying with his family. He also followed the Utah Jazz. He enjoyed painting pictures of the outdoors. One of Jason’s favorite things to do was go grocery shopping. He would share his candy stash with all those who came to visit. He loved taking care of his mom, spending time with family, and taking long afternoon naps. He was a wonderful example and left a legacy of love, service, and faith.

He is survived by his mother Beverly, His siblings: Julie (Terry), Jeff (Natalie), Jonathan (Shelly), Jed (Shelley), Brad(Celi), Ben(JaNae), Curt, Jolyn(Duane), Brian(Melissa), Candy (Dan), Cally (Angie), 41 nieces and nephews, and 8 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening, August 8 from 6-8 p.m. at the South Jordan Stake Center, 2450 West 10400 South. Funeral services will also be held at the Stake Center on August 9 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Holladay Memorial Park Cemetery. Services by Memorial Mortuary, Murray.
