Betty Lue Jackson, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Layton, Utah.

She was born April 21, 1927 in Lakeshore, Utah the daughter of Llewellyn and Jennie Marie Huff Barney. She was raised in Payson and lived most of her life in Bountiful. Married Fred P. Jackson, September 28, 1944 in Heber City, Utah, later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

Betty was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints. She loved serving the Lord in her callings and cherished and enjoyed being with her family. She is so very happy to finally be reunited with her eternal companion after 42 years.

She is survived by four sons Dennis (Alby), Randy (Rae Ann), Kim (Fiona), Ricky (Cori); three daughters Connie (Howard) Madsen, Jennie (Dan) Biggers, Matilda Soue and son-in-law Lyman Peterson; 35 grandchildren and 101 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Fred, parents and daughter Sherry Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Wed., August 22, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Woods Cross 5th Ward Chapel, 2064 S. 800 W. where friends may visit family from 9:00 – 10:30 am prior to services. Interment Payson City Cemetery.
