Jenus Slaugh Hall
February 14, 1928 ~ August 18, 2012
Jenus Slaugh Hall, age 84, of Fruit Heights, Utah, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012, after a valiant fight with Parkinson’s Disease and other causes incident to age. Jen was born February 14, 1928 in Vernal, Utah, to Benjamin George and Birdie Ross Rooks Slaugh. Her marriage to Acel Mark Hall in the Salt Lake temple in 1946 led to 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Jenus is survived by her husband, two sons: Joseph (Jean), Scott (Kari), and two daughters: Nina (Cordell) Gold, Nancy (Derek) Furch and 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three brothers. She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Jen’s life revolved around her family and service for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great influence on the youth of the church and served faithfully in many callings including a mission to Rochester, New York, with her husband in 1989-90. Not only was Jen an amazing cook, gardener, and seamstress, but also had a quick wit and sense of humor that will be missed by all. She showed love to everyone and is truly the world’s best mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Fruit Heights 8th Ward, 190 No. Mountain Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
