James Ross Archuleta

Ogden – James Ross Archuleta, 66, passed away September 2, 2012 at McKay Dee Hospital. James was born June 12, 1946 in Pagosa Springs, Colorado to Stella Maze and Ross Archuleta. He received a Bachelor's degree from Weber State College.
James married Cynthia E. Nevarez on October 2, 1965 in Riverdale, Utah. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
James loved to collect coins, go camping, fishing, metal detecting, BBQ'ing, playing with his grandkids and great-grandkids, but most of all he loved spending time with his wife, Cynthia. She was his "Edith" and he was her "Archie"; their love was unconditional.
James is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children, Jamie (Ronald) Woolington, Randy Archuleta, Darlene Archuleta, Marlene (Shane) Perea; Richard (Jennifer) Nelson; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; his aunt, Josie Mora; siblings, Gilbert (Toni) Archuleta, Della (Robert) Vasquez, Johnny Padilla, Petter (Debbi) Padilla, Bobo Padilla, Steven (Joann) Padilla and Larry Padilla.
He was preceded in death by his mother; his first born son, James "Little Jimmy" Archuleta; grandparents; two sisters and a son-in-law.
He had a short but hard battle with cancer; he will always be remembered. Special thanks to Dr. McEntire and our family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 514 – 24th Street. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

Ross and I are deeply saddened to hear of your recent loss. Jimmy was a very good man and we were fortunate enough to have him touch our lives. Ross enjoyed many hours working along side him at Parker. Our prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.
