Toni Dianne Fratt
September 10, 1954 ~ March 3, 2013
Toni Dianne Fratt passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in her home in Spanish Fork, Utah. Toni and her twin sister, Robin Elaine, were born September 10, 1954, in Pasadena, California, to Thomasine Porter Weidman Fratt and Gerald Elmer Fratt, Jr. They were the youngest of five children.
Toni grew up in Alhambra, California. In high school, she studied German and participated in school choirs, graduating from Alhambra High School. She attended California State University in Los Angeles for three years majoring in music, especially piano, and later interior design. Toni enjoyed associating with her grandmothers while growing up, and she also enjoyed several family vacations to the beach and lakes which involved camping, boating, fishing, and water skiing.
When Toni was a young adult, she moved with her family to Utah. Toni and Robin purchased a home together in Orem, and Toni worked in child care at Utah Valley Hospital for several years. Eventually, they sold their home and moved back with their mother in Spanish Fork. Toni lovingly assisted her mother for fifteen years until her mother passed away a year ago.
Toni was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was baptized at the age of eight along with her parents and siblings. Her faith in the Savior and gospel principles gave her hope, peace, and the assurance she would be with her loved ones again after her life on earth.
Toni’s parents and four siblings preceded her in death: two brothers, Steven Nathan and David Lawrence; and two sisters, Rebecca Lynn and Robin Elaine. Toni is survived by a special aunt, Mary Jo Housman, of San Diego, California; other dear relatives, close friends, and her two beloved dogs named Kai and Sadie.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork South Stake Center, 1158 East 1240 South, Spanish Fork. Friends and family may call at the church Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to services for a short visitation. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
