Drew Wells Thompson
January 6, 1989 ~ September 14, 2013
Eden Drew Wells Thompson passed away September 14, 2013, fighting complications of diabetes and an infection following surgery.
Drew was born January 6, 1989 in Ogden, Utah to Matt Glen and Tami Jeffs Thompson. He graduated from Weber High in 2007 and earned a Certificate in Electronics at the OWATC; he was currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at Weber State. He was employed at Teleperformance where he was a mentor to many, loving his work family as much as they loved him.
Drew, lovingly known as Ella, Doober, Dewey, Drewella, and La Chico, was a big hearted, happy, fly- by- the -seat- of- his pants kind of a guy. He was a peacemaker who wanted to please everyone and never let the small stuff get to him. He was funny, spontaneous and the best hugger ever (whether you wanted one or not). It was impossible to not love him. He enjoyed fishing with his Grandpa Steve and loved commentating any sports game, especially the Denver Broncos. Drew was extremely close to his siblings and parents.
Drew is survived by his parents; siblings, Mitch and Baylie Thompson; and his Dapple Dachshund Doug, all of Eden; his grandparents, Steve and Lois Jeffs, Glen and Janet Thompson, Brent and Eileen Allphin and also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Kelley Creek Farm, 465 N. 9000 E., Huntsville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 18th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Interment, Eden Meadow View Cemetery.
Because of Drew's love of sports, the family requests that attendees please wear casual, blue and orange, or sports attire to honor him.
In lieu of flowers an account has been set up at America First Credit Union in Drew's name.
"Bring it in Buddy, bring it in."
