Alice Crowley Peterson
January 23, 1922 ~ January 28, 2014
Alice Amelda Crowley Peterson, beloved wife, mother, Nana, and Great-Nana, passed away on Tues, Jan 28, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Clarence Edmund and Mary Elizabeth Olmstead Crowley on January 23, 1922 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the youngest of nine children.
Nana is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Elden J. Peterson “Papa”, her three sons and two daughters, Eugene (Lucy), Kenyon (Linda), Marilyn (Jeff Perkins), Elizabeth (Russell Springer), Eric (Julie); twenty-nine grandchildren; and forty-five great-grandchildren.
Nana was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings, including General Board Member, also serving a mission with her husband to the North Carolina mission.
She was a very talented and creative artist, musician and school teacher. She was everyone’s friend with her cheerful personality and smile.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday Feb. 1 in the Bluffdale 2nd Ward Chapel at 14400 S. Redwood Rd. at 11 am with a viewing Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the church and Saturday from 9:30 -10:30 am prior to services.
