Stanton was born on March 4, 1953 and passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on January 23, 2011.

Stanton was the third son of Cherron & Velores Seely and the husband of Janet Seely.

Stanton enjoyed anything outdoors especially yard work and fishing. Stanton always wore a cowboy hat and wore it with pride and had his best little dog Izzy by his side at all times. He always had a smile on his face, loved life, loved Jazz games and most of all loved his family.

Stanton is survived by his wife, Janet and children Aimee (Kyle), Misty and Troy(Katie) and his grandchildren which were the light of his life Garrett, Kyden, Ava and Macy. Stanton is also survived by his mother, Velores and brothers Scott (Lucy), Eddie (Linda) and Tom (Jennifer) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends.

A visitation in Stanton's honor will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Rasmussen Mortuary in Mt Pleasant from 6:00 â€“ 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute 500 Huntsman Way SLC, UT 84108 in memory of Stanton.

To all of us who love Stanton,

I was doing okay -tear wise, until I looked at his picture. We have lost a beautiful person who was full of love, laughter and genuine character that always swam against the tide.

I have many memories of Stanton. It was a blessing to me that I knew him. He will be dearly missed!

May the Lord comfort all who mourn at this time, especially Janet, Velores and all those close to Stanton.
