Julie Boone Trujillo
May 19, 1963 ~ June 28, 2010
With great strength and courage, our sweet Julie peacefully concluded her 23 year long battle with diabetes on Monday, June 28, 2010, with her loved ones by her side. She has now begun her new journey of happiness and love without physical pain.
Julie, born May 19, 1963, was an admirable woman of valor, who fought for her beliefs and convictions. She was the type of person that all loved to be around and was everything beautiful to those who knew her best.
Julie loved life to the fullest and reflected that through her infectious laugh and heart warming smile. Some of her many joys were spending time with her dogs and also enjoying the outdoors any chance she could get.
Julie, most of all, loved her family. She was a proud mother to three beautiful children and supported them in any endeavor that they would encounter. This love grew with the addition of her two grandsons in whom she adored. Julie had just celebrated 29 wonderful years with the love of her life, her husband. He was her rock to hold on to, her lighthouse in the storm, her everything and that connection was very evident. Julie valued the time spent with her affectionate mother and encouraging sister who stood by her side from beginning to end.
Julie is survived by her husband Frank Trujillo, her children Jennifer (Ryan) Jacobson, Angela (Kenny) Schmeling and Tony Trujillo, mother Marjorie Bohen, sister Vicki (Wendell) Gilbert, grandsons Prestyn Schmeling and Talon Jacobson, her supportive uncles and their families, and Jerrald Boone.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 12 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Parish, 1385 Spring Ln. A viewing will be held prior to services at 10 a.m.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the donor transplant team and the many wonderful care givers at St. Marks hospital.
