Elmer Leo Urwin
November 13, 1924 ~ June 14, 2011
Elmer Leo Urwin, age 86, passed away from lung cancer on June 14, 2011 in West Valley City, Utah, with his oldest and youngest daughters at his side. He was born in McKinnon, WY, on November 13, 1924 to Joseph and Mildred Urwin.
He married Vivian Derby on April 3, 1950.
He enjoyed building fences for Mountain States Fence until his retirement in 1989. He also enjoyed playing dress up with Jamie, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by daughters: Kim (Brett) Gardner, Connie (Leon) Harward, Linda (Richard) Deichmueller, sons: Robert, Randy (Christine), Bill (Linda) Wilde, 30 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Francis Carlos and Edna Poe.
He was preceded in death by wife Vivian, son, Kenneth, his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011, from 6-8 pm at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East Murray, Utah.
Graveside services will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 am, family and friends may visit one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Murray, Utah.
