
Helen Idonna Walker Crook

Helen Idonna Walker Crook, age 83 of Santaquin, Utah passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012.
She was born September 20, 1928 in Cedar City, Utah to Joseph Walter and Mary Lillian Stevenson Walker.
She married Oscar Doyle Crook on September 14, 1946 in Santaquin. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple.
Idonna graduated from Payson High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for 32 years, eighteen of those years as the Santaquin City Recorder. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, active in Senior Citizens and American Legion Auxillary. Idonna was a great cook and regularly contributed recipes to the local newspapers for publication. She spent many years working with her dear friend Donna Bott to establish and support the Santaquin Museum. She was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many capacities both in the Relief Society and Primary.
Survivors include: four children, Greg (Gerri) Crook of Hornick, Iowa; Luanne (James) Lacey of Sandy, Utah; Nancy (Brent) Holman of Provo, Utah; Jeffrey (Shauna) Crook, of Spring, Texas; a brother, Jack (Helen) Walker, Payson, Utah; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Oscar Doyle Crook; brothers, Arnold and Lamar Walker, 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 19, 2012, 11:00 a.m., in the Santaquin North Stake Center, 545 North 200 East. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah, Sunday, March 18, 2012, 6-8:00 p.m. and at the Santaquin North Stake Center Monday, 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Santaquin City Cemetery.
